Weather balloon flights provide an accessible way for hobbyists to launch their own payloads to space. Typical balloon flights will reach altitudes of around 30-40km before bursting. If you go by the Karman line (100km) as the definition of space, then technically balloons only reach near-space, but the pictures that you can take are still awe-inspiring!
